The power of storytelling means that when you get it right, you have the potential to INFLUENCE, TEACH and INSPIRE!
Telling stories opens our eyes to new things – places, cultures and traditions. With stories, we can imagine being in the place where the story’s characters are, and developing empathy for them as we try to comprehend their actions.
Reading and telling stories to children can increase their ability to express themselves. It can help encourage them to communicate their thoughts, feelings and ideas. Help encourage your little ones, by reading them a story that helps them to ask questions or discuss their thoughts. As you continue to indulge in a storytelling activity with your little ones, they will gain a broader vocabulary as they pick up new words.
